The cryptocurrency market recorded widespread losses on January 8, with most major digital assets trading lower.
According to CoinMarketCap, as of 10:00 AM KST on January 8, Bitcoin (BTC) was down 1.61% at $91,269.39, Ethereum (ETH) fell 3.05% to $3,167.69, and XRP (XRP) declined 4.94% to $2.17. Dogecoin (DOGE) dropped 1.04% to $0.1467, Solana (SOL) slipped 2.58% to $136.79, and Avalanche (AVAX) decreased 2.34% to $14.14. Shiba Inu (SHIB) was down 1.68% at $0.000058827, Aptos (APT) fell 1.80% to $1.88, and Pi (PI) declined 1.19% to $0.2089.
Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, MYX Finance (MYX) recorded the largest day-on-day gain, rising 4.16%, while Pump.fun (PUMP) posted the biggest loss, dropping 9.61%.
Other altcoins included Obol (OBOL), which rose 3.49% from the previous day to $0.02806, while Aleo (ALEO) fell 3.93% to $0.1215.
