INJ MANTA BAND HYDRO FOUR

Today is the last day of Devcon 7 and its side events in Bangkok. On the way to the sky train, for the first event of the day. I passed by Vitalik Buterin. So, what could go wrong today?

That was a good start, and it turned out to be a great day indeed. So, let’s see what the last day of Devcon 7 in Bangkok, Thailand, brings us.

Injective Summit

The first stop of the day was the Injective Summit. It’s their first-ever live event. Injective started to integrate RWA. The Agora stable coin ($AUSD) plays a part in this as well. This is the first native stablecoin on Injective.

Injective will also take a new direction. This has been one year in the making, and today it was disclosed. There will be a Multi VM coming. This year will see a private testnet launch. In Q1 2025 there will be a public testnet. That’s followed by their mainnet in Q1 as well. This is Injective’s biggest upgrade in its 3-year history. Furthermore, Injective will launch iAgent, an AI agent creator. The picture below shows Eric Chen, CEO, and co-founder of Injective during the Summit.

Devcon 7 Injective Summit

The Summit had a great setup, with a couple of projects on Injective having a small booth. This made it easy to talk to team members and get the latest news on their projects. So, let’s dive in.

The Graph

We covered the Graph already plenty of times. It’s also referred to as the Google of blockchains. They have some hot news coming in. Currently, the Graph has already integrated a couple of non-AVM chains. For example, Solana, Mantra, Injective, and Vara. However, more is coming, with Sui and Polkadot lining up. Their other new focus is that they will be streaming data.

Band

Band is a decentralized data oracle. They’re based in Thailand, so it’s nice to see them in their hometown. The project has various upgrades coming. This is their Band V3 upgrade, with, for instance,

  • Increase of the chain performance. Their testnet should start in December, followed by the mainnet in Q1, 2025. Among others, this should make the chain faster and cheaper.
  • Increasing the token utility. Projects can stake the $BAND token and take part in governance. This should give them a free service, instead of a paid service. The result should be a more decentralized platform with a permissionless model.

Paradyze

Paradyze is a brand-new project on Injective. It launched its testnet only last Monday, 11th November. I spoke with Dennis, their founder. He said that they want to be a unified DeFi hub. Their first product is a prediction market. However, there are more and different modules in the making. This will include gamified options.

In December, they will integrate a wallet. This will be with chain abstraction. In other words, a Web3 wallet with Web2 features. For instance, log in with Google. It will also accommodate any wallet. So, for instance, you can place a prediction with $SOL. There’s no need to swap it first to $INJ. That’s done for you in the background, and you won’t see or notice this.

The project is 100% self-funded and there won’t be a token until the platform is fully functional. However, in their Discord, you can already earn ‘Paranite’. This is their DC token, which will count towards their future airdrop.

Hydro

Hydro is a liquid staking platform. Their goal is to become the DeFi hub for Injective. They currently are the #1 Injective platform, measured by TVL

There are RYA (Real Yield Assets) in the making, as well as LRP which is liquid restaking. These are restakable LPs. Hydro is also talking to Agora, to have their stablecoin on their platform. Their landing platform should launch in Q1 or Q2, 2025.

However, this Monday, 18th November, their loop staking (looping) option will launch. With looping, you deposit an asset and borrow another asset. With the borrowed asset, you buy more of the original asset. Repeat over and over.

Stork

Stork is an oracle for perpetual DEXes. It’s chain agnostic, with currently over 40 chains and 50 protocols. Stork also launched their products on Helix, the leading Injective DEX. In December, we can expect lending protocols with RWA options. Everybody can onboard as a data provider on Stork. You can subscribe to your data or sell it.

Manta Network Modular Acceleration

After the Injective Summit, I was off to the Manta Network Modular Acceleration event. Here I talked to Blocksense. This is a ZK rollup for programmable oracles. It offers you a low coding option to make your oracle, catering to your specific needs. This is a much cheaper option compared to what other oracles offer.

Currently, Blocksense is still on their testnet. However, their mainnet should still come this year, in December. A token should follow within a year.

That’s a wrap for this year’s Devcon 7 in Bangkok, Thailand. Here you can find links to my previous daily updates about GeckoCon and Devcon 7 Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3.
