EigenLayer Rewards v2 goes Live on Mainnet

The major focus of EigenLayer Rewards v2 would be flexibility, efficiency, and customization within the ecosystem. It would be the first Eigen community-proposed and executed mainnet upgrade.

EigenLayer Rewards v2 introduces several key features to improve the reward system for participants. One of the standout updates is operator-specific rewards, allowing Automatic Verification Services (AVS) to reward operators based on performance or custom logic.

Community-Driven Governance Powers EigenLayer’s Latest Update

Operators now have the ability to set variable fees for each AVS, offering greater economic flexibility. Another notable feature is the batch reward collection, which enables stakeholders and operators to claim multiple rewards in a single transaction, reducing gas fees.

EigenLayer is pioneering the Ethereum re-staking landscape by enabling users to stake ETH and reuse tokens staked on the consensus layer. Participants who stake their ETH can grant EigenLayer’s smart contracts additional conditions.

The EigenLayer Rewards v2 update also aligns with the EigenGov governance process recently announced by the Eigen Foundation, allowing for more community-driven decision-making in the platform's development.
