Mining infrastructure platform @f2pool has launched its official mining pool for @QuantusNetwork, a proof-of-work Layer 1 blockchain built around post-quantum cryptography. The pool lets users mine the network's native $QTC token.

What the F2Pool listing means for Quantus Network

F2Pool is one of the longer-running names in crypto mining. Cointelegraph's F2Pool tag page says it launched in 2013 and is one of the largest mining pools in the world. A listing from an established operator gives Quantus miners another route into the network beyond smaller pools that already support QTC.

Quantus is a young chain. Bankless reports that the proof-of-work network has been live since September 9, and that until recently it remained largely isolated because QTC was hard to buy. According to Forklog, the team said QTC could only be obtained through mining after mainnet launch, with more than 7,000 GPUs connected at launch and the hash rate reaching 24 TH/s by the end of September.

The token has a capped supply of 21 million QTC. KuCoin News reports that 27% was available at genesis, with the remaining 73% (about 15.3 million tokens) to be mined. That makes mining pool capacity relevant to how the bulk of the supply is distributed.

NEAR Intents gives QTC wider market access

The pool launch follows a busy few weeks for the project. QTC went live on @NEARProtocol through @near_intents, and a NEAR press release says QTC launched on near.com and via the NEAR Intents 1Click Swap API, with confidential trading across more than 30 chains.

According to Bitcoin.com News, holders of bitcoin, ether, USDC, ZEC and more than 180 other assets can acquire QTC from accounts they control, with no centralized exchange listing at launch. The same report notes that Quantus does not support smart contracts, so it cannot host a conventional decentralized exchange of its own, which is why the cross-chain route matters.

Market data from Altcoinbuzz showed QTC rising 9.5% to $92.11 after the NEAR Intents integration, though the outlet noted the network is still early and QTC is building its market presence.
