Fractal Bitcoin, a new sidechain utilizing joint mining, has captured over 240 EH/s of Bitcoin’s overall hashrate in just its first 24 hours of operation. Launched in September 2024, the sidechain allows miners to simultaneously mine multiple cryptocurrencies, increasing their efficiency by using the same hardware for different blockchain networks.

The majority of this computational power comes from leading mining pools like Antpool, F2pool, and Spiderpool, which contributed 133 EH/s. Fractal Bitcoin has already shown impressive potential, as it now accounts for more than 35% of Bitcoin’s total hashrate, marking a significant development in the world of cryptocurrency mining.
