QUBIC, the token of the Qubic blockchain, can be bought on nine active exchanges, by card through two payment providers, and on decentralized platforms. Your options depend on where you live. In Europe, two routes are authorized under MiCA. Most exchanges exclude the United States and Canada. As of October 4, 2026, Cointribune checked each platform’s fees, identity verification (KYC) and excluded countries. Four platforms still named in Qubic’s official lists have closed or no longer offer the token.
In Brief
- 9 exchanges showed an active QUBIC market on October 4, 2026, almost all against USDT.
- 2 payment gateways, Banxa and Alchemy Pay, sell QUBIC by card, in more than 100 countries according to their official website .
- 2 MiCA-authorized routes in the European Union: the broker Bitpanda and Banxa.
- 0% to 0.2%: trading fees advertised by exchanges, before card and withdrawal fees.
What is QUBIC?
QUBIC is the token of Qubic, a layer-1 blockchain. Its network runs on a useful proof of work: miners’ computing power also goes to AI workloads, according to Qubic. Our article on Useful Proof of Work explains how it works
Supply is capped at 200 trillion QUBIC, according to Qubic’s documentation. About 143.3 trillion are in circulation, according to CoinMarketCap.
Transfers on the Qubic network are free, according to the same documentation. Costs therefore come from platforms, payment methods and withdrawals.
The table lists the platforms where QUBIC could be bought on October 4, 2026. Excluded countries come from each platform’s terms of use. Regulatory status comes from public registers and warning lists.

A platform that does not exclude you is not necessarily authorized in your country. Each national regulator publishes its own list of authorized providers and warnings. Examples include the FCA in the United Kingdom, state financial regulators in the United States, the AMF in France and the CVM in Brazil.
In the European Union: the MiCA-authorized routes
MiCA, the EU’s crypto-asset regulation, set July 1, 2026 as the end of its longest transition period. Since then, only authorized providers may serve clients in the EU, as France’s AMF reminded the market. An unauthorized provider deprives you of MiCA’s safeguards: segregation of your assets, a complaints procedure and supervision by a European regulator.
Bitpanda GmbH has been authorized by Austria’s FMA since April 9, 2025. According to ESMA’s register, its passport covers the whole European Economic Area. The broker offers QUBIC for purchase, including by bank card or PayPal, according to its Qubic page. Its fees range from 0% to 2.49% depending on the asset, and the QUBIC rate is not published. Some assets on Bitpanda can only be bought and sold, not withdrawn to an external wallet: check this in the app.
Banxa operates in Europe through EU Internet Ventures B.V. This entity has been authorized by the Dutch AFM since October 13, 2025, for 30 EEA countries, according to Banxa. Gate’s EU entity, Gate Technology Limited, is authorized in Malta and operates the gate.com/en-eu website. Binance’s withdrawal from France on July 1, 2026 showed that a major exchange can lose access to a European market overnight.
Buying Qubic by card: Banxa and Alchemy Pay
Two payment providers send purchased QUBIC straight to your Qubic wallet. No exchange account is needed.
Banxa
The integration went live on December 29, 2025, according to Qubic’s blog. Banxa accepts cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfers, in more than 100 countries including the United States, according to Qubic. The first purchase requires an ID document and a selfie.
Banxa charges 1.99% for card payments, plus a “typical” price spread of 2% to 4%, up to 15%, according to its help center. These are general rates, not specific to QUBIC. The minimum is €10 in the EU, $10 in the United States and £10 in the United Kingdom. Selling back to fiat through this channel was described as “in development” in December 2025.
Alchemy Pay
Since July 23, 2026, Alchemy Pay has offered QUBIC in 173 countries, according to the guide published by Qubic. Payment methods range from cards to SEPA Instant transfers. They also include PIX in Brazil, SPEI in Mexico, UPI in India, QRIS in Indonesia and VietQR in Vietnam. In the United States, only Visa and Mastercard cards are accepted.
Qubic mentions processing and network fees without publishing the amounts. The first purchase may require KYC, according to Alchemy Pay’s documentation. In the United States, the company holds money transmitter licenses in 19 states, according to its press release. No MiCA authorization in its name was found. It was not on the AMF’s white list as of September 30, 2026 either.
Two routes exist, with no intermediary and no account to open, but they are more technical.
The QBridge bridge, run with the company Vottun, locks QUBIC on the Qubic network and issues wQUBIC on Ethereum in return. These tokens trade on Uniswap v4, against ETH or USDC. The bridge charges 1% per order, according to Qubic’s blog. The Solan bridge development has been paused since July 2026.
Qx is the Qubic network’s native exchange, built as an order book. Its documentation states that it has no default interface. The QubicTrade interface provides access through WalletConnect or MetaMask Snap. The code sets an initial fee of 0.3% per trade, which the contract’s shareholders can change.
Qubic does not publish the official wQUBIC contract address on its public pages. On Etherscan, a token named “QUBIC NETWORK” with unverified code is in circulation. Other “Qubic” tokens exist on Base and Solana. Before any decentralized purchase, get the contract address from Qubic’s official channels.

Withdrawal fees are fixed, in number of QUBIC. Their relative weight therefore falls as the amount withdrawn rises.
Do you need KYC to buy Qubic?
Yes, with every regulated provider. Standards set by the FATF, the international anti-money-laundering body, require crypto-asset providers to verify their customers’ identity. MiCA in Europe and US licensing regimes apply this obligation. Bitpanda, Banxa and Gate’s EU entity therefore ask for an ID document.
Most major exchanges require it too, worldwide. MEXC has made KYC mandatory since February 2026: without verification, deposits and withdrawals are blocked. Bitget has required it since 2023, and Gate for any deposit or withdrawal.
A few unregulated platforms make it optional, with caps. XT.com limits withdrawals without KYC to 200,000 USDT per day, and BYDFi to 5,000 USDT. BitKan says it allows trading without identity verification. None is authorized in Europe, and an unverified account can be restricted at any time.
Several platforms, including four named by Qubic, no longer let you buy the token.

The TradeOgre name is still used by fraudulent sites. The AMF added the clone tradeogre.fr to its blacklist on December 16, 2025. Kraken and Coinhouse display the QUBIC price but do not offer it for purchase. WEEX only offers futures contracts, not the token itself.
Where to store your QUBIC
Qubic’s documentation lists three options: the Qubic Wallet app (iOS and Android), the web wallet wallet.qubic.org and the HASHWallet hardware wallet. Each relies on a seed, the secret phrase that gives access to the funds.
“Never share your seed with anyone. If you lose it, you lose your Qubic Units (QUs).”
Qubic official documentation, “How to Invest in Qubic”, accessed October 4, 2026
The web wallet calls for particular care. On July 13, 2026, an attacker injected malicious code into Qubic’s GitHub repositories, according to the project. Qubic asked users who had unlocked their web wallet between 03:00 and 11:00 UTC that day to create a new identity and move their funds to it.
What are the risks?
The QUBIC market is thin. Its market capitalization stood at about $74 million on October 2, 2026, according to CoinGecko, with $1.75 million traded over 24 hours. A large order can therefore move the price.
Platform risk is real. In 2026, AscendEX, BitMart and CoinEx ceased operations. BitMart acknowledged a $319.5 million asset shortfall, according to Forklog. More recently, Bitget suffered a major security incident in September 2026, with unauthorized transfers from hot and warm wallets estimated at around $350 million by Reuters and later detailed by Bitget at about $388 million. A token left on a platform therefore depends not only on that platform’s solvency, but also on its operational security, withdrawal policies and crisis response.
The project also has a track record to weigh. In August 2025, its mining pool claimed more than 50% of the hashrate of Monero, another blockchain. A six-block reorganization followed, and several security experts, including Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet, called it a 51% attack.
The next deadline falls on December 22, 2026: after that date, QUBIC left on CoinEx can no longer be withdrawn. Until then, Bitget and BingX are awaiting the Austrian regulator’s decision on the MiCA applications they filed in summer 2026.
