Human Friendly, Agent Native: Introducing HPP Smart Wallet on Mainnet

People are no longer the only ones using Web3 wallets. AI agents are emerging as a new kind. The problem is that today’s wallets serve neither of them well. People still have to manage seed phrases and top up ETH just to pay for gas. And an agent handed a private key to make payments ends up with far more authority than it needs.

HPP Smart Wallet gives each of them what they actually need: ease of use for people, and the right level of authority for agents. Mainnet Early Access starts today.

Human Friendly

A wallet should be easy. With HPP Smart Wallet, all you need is an email address. By combining Account Abstraction (ERC-4337) with EIP-7702, your account is created the moment you log in. Nothing to install, no seed phrase to write down.

You also don’t need ETH for gas, long the biggest hurdle for first-time Web3 users. HPP covers your initial gas fees, and after that, fees are deducted from your USDC.e balance.

Agent Native

An agent doesn’t need control of your whole wallet. It just needs enough budget to do its job. HPP Smart Wallet lets you set time-bound spending limits for agents, built on ERC-7710. Within that budget, the agent finds and pays for the x402 services it needs on its own.

Limits are enforced on-chain, and you can revoke access instantly at any time. Payments are settled with a signature alone, so there’s no gas to burn on every call. It’s a wallet built for machine-to-machine (M2M) commerce, where micropayments of a few cents or less change hands hundreds of times.

We’ve already completed mainnet payment tests on major MCP hosts including Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Claude Code.

Builders

If agents can pay for things on their own, a new market opens up: one where you get paid by agents. To help developers tap into it right away, we’re releasing a set of integration tools alongside the wallet.

  • @hpp-io/aa-sdk: Built on Kernel v3.3 and EIP-7702, with a bundler and paymaster included so you can plug it in right away. If you already use a standard ERC-4337 client, you can skip the SDK and connect directly to aa.hpp.io/rpc.

  • @hpp-io/x402-mcp-bridge: An MCP server that lets agents discover services on x402 Explorer and complete payment on their own.

  • Gas sponsorship: Apply for gas sponsorship for your users at the app or service level.

x402, M2M, and AI Agents

HPP Smart Wallet is currently in Mainnet Early Access. In an economy where agents both spend and earn, what should a Web3 wallet look like? Come see for yourself.
