Immutable announces strategic partnership with Altura

Immutable has announced a strategic partnership with Altura, a web3 infrastructure platform focused on the gaming industry.

According to an announcement, Immutable (IMX) and Altura will collaborate to introduce a new marketplace and solutions designed to enhance the player-driven economy in blockchain gaming.

The partnership will integrate Immutable’s Passport and Checkout infrastructure across gaming projects, extending these features to the Ethereum (ETH) gaming ecosystem.

Web3 gaming projects on Altura will also participate in Immutable’s zkEVM Main Quest program. Altura will contribute $5 million to the initiative, which aims to support player rewards.

Main Quest is the largest rewards program in the web3 gaming sector, with up to $50 million allocated for player incentives. The program supports over 300 funded games.

“By partnering with Altura, we stand to onboard the next generation of games currently in development, while also giving studios access to our Main Quest Rewards program, opening the door for a brand new audience of players to start playing on Immutable,” said Robbie Ferguson, co-founder and president of Immutable.

Developers from Immutable and Altura will benefit from features such as asset tracking, zkEVM integration, and technical support.

The partnership with Altura follows another key collaboration between Yield Guild Games and Immutable. Joining forces with the web3 guild protocol is another step for Immutable as it looks to accelerate adoption of gaming across the ecosystem.

YGG and Immutable will invest $1 million in the partnership to boost player rewards, with gamers getting IMX and YGG rewards.The price of IMX has jumped 6% in the past 24 hours, while YGG is up nearly 8% at the time of writing.
