The ASI Alliance, a collaboration between Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, and Ocean Protocol, aims to accelerate research and development in decentralized Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Superintelligence (ASI).

Phase one of the token merger began today, July 1st, 2024. AGIX and OCEAN tokens are being converted into FET, with trading of FET remaining uninterrupted. The migration platform is now operational and accessible through the SingularityDAO dapp. Existing AGIX and OCEAN tokens are starting to be delisted from exchanges.

This initial phase focuses on onboarding exchanges and data aggregators to ensure a smooth transition during the rebranding process to the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance across platforms like CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.

Phase two will target community onboarding and ASI deployment. This includes self-custody holders and deploying ASI tokens across multiple blockchains. New migration contracts will be available for tokens not yet converted and for EVM-based FET. All FET Mainnet Tokens will automatically convert to ASI during a future Fetch.ai mainnet upgrade. The migration contracts are designed to be available for several years to allow ample time for conversions.

“Today’s token merger underscores our commitment to advancing safe artificial intelligence,” said Humayun Sheikh, chairman of the ASI Alliance and CEO of Fetch.ai.

The alliance emphasizes operational efficiency, seamless integration of decentralized AI systems, and fostering collaboration within the industry.

“We’re excited to have reached this milestone,” stated Ben Goertzel, CEO of SingularityNet and the ASI Alliance. “This tokenomic merger paves the way for a series of collaborations combining Alliance technologies toward beneficial superintelligence.”

The ASI Alliance aims to leverage the strengths of each member: Fetch.ai’s autonomous agent technology, Ocean Protocol’s data exchange frameworks, and SingularityNET’s decentralized AI services. They will focus on developing products that promote responsible and ethical AI practices. The alliance welcomes further collaboration to foster advancements in the field.
