Anticipation for the 2025 release of Solana’s “Chapter 2” smartphone is growing, and early pre-order customers are already enjoying significant benefits.

Solana has partnered with meme coin creators to airdrop tokens directly into the wallets of those who pre-ordered the device. If the tokens maintain their value, this initiative could cover the $450 cost of the smartphone.

On April 1, the team behind the Maneki (MANEKI) and Cat in a Dogs World (MEW) tokens distributed 37,600 MEW tokens and, later, 5,199 MANEKI tokens to eligible Solana wallets. Following these distributions, MANEKI’s price surged by 71.6% to reach an all-time high of $0.02, while MEW peaked at $0.009 in March. Currently, MEW  is trading at  $0.006, As per  CoinMarketCap Data.

These airdrops are not the first; holders of Solana’s initial mobile device, the ‘Saga,’ received similar benefits. The strategy, which previously included a dog-themed token that was significantly appreciated, is a recurring theme for Solana’s marketing approach.

Solana introduced the Saga Chapter 2 after the original model sold out, citing the success of included perks such as token airdrops and free NFTs. The company’s innovative strategy of integrating cryptocurrency incentives with product sales may set a new trend in tech promotions, blending digital assets with physical products.
