Ethereum is trading around $2,740.20, but one analyst thinks the ETH price could eventually reach $10,000-$15,000 during the next altseason. Analyst CryptoPatel shared the forecast on X, pointing to his Ethereum roadmap as the basis for the target.

That is a big move from current levels, so the chart behind the prediction is worth looking at. His two-week chart places Ethereum inside a larger cycle structure linked to Bitcoin’s four-year halving cycle, with a potential cycle top near $16,000 in 2027-2028.

The ETH Price Is Still Facing Major Resistance

We had a look at the Ethereum chart. The ETH price is up 1.94% on the latest two-week candle, with a high of $2,773.97 and a low of $2,635.35. The first major hurdle is around $3,945, which lines up with Ethereum’s previous cycle peak. A break above that could put $8,000 and $10,000 on the radar.

CryptoPatel’s larger chart target is $16,000, with $32,000 and $60,000 marked as higher levels on the longer-term roadmap.

The downside levels are just as important. The $2,000 area forms part of the current accumulation zone, followed by $1,000 as a major structural support. A break below $1,000 would invalidate the bullish wave count used in the forecast.

Ethereum’s Four-Year Cycle Is Behind the $16K Target

CryptoPatel built his idea on two things: Ethereum’s past price moves and Bitcoin’s four-year halving rhythm. On the chart, he marks the 2016, 2020, and 2024 halvings and lines up Ethereum’s big runs with the later part of each cycle.

Back in 2016, ETH was trading around $10. It ran up to roughly $1,400 during the 2017 cycle. Then it crashed hard, down to about $80. From there it climbed again, hitting around $4,800 in 2021. After that, it fell to roughly $880 in 2022, and that’s where the current cycle began.

The chart labels the present phase as Wave 4, or an accumulation zone. The next Wave 5 is where CryptoPatel expects the bigger move to take place, with $16,000 marked as a potential 2027-2028 cycle top.

Ethereum Upgrades and ETF Flows Could Add to the Bull Case

The forecast also comes at a time when Ethereum is preparing for another major network upgrade. Glamsterdam is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026 and is designed to improve Layer 1 scaling through features such as parallel execution and enshrined proposer-builder separation.

If these upgrades improve network capacity and efficiency, they could strengthen Ethereum’s utility and create another factor for the ETH price to consider as the network develops.

Institutional demand has been less consistent. U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $118 million in net outflows for the week ending October 2, compared with $689.8 million of inflows during the previous week.

At the same time, whale holdings remain notable. Wallets holding between 1,000 and 10,000 ETH now control more than 14.2 million ETH, according to Lookonchain data. That accumulation is happening while ETH keeps running into resistance around $2,750–$2,800. That zone is another area traders are watching before the next big move.

Can the ETH price reach $15,000?

CryptoPatel’s $10,000–$15,000 target would need Ethereum to make a much bigger move from where it is now. The chart points to $3,945 as the first major level to clear, followed by $8,000 and $10,000 before the $16,000 cycle target comes into play.

For that to happen, Ethereum’s technical structure would need to hold, network upgrades would need to ship, and both institutional and whale demand would need to support the market. For now, $2,800 is the immediate level to watch, with $3,945 standing as the next major resistance area.

FAQs

Can Ethereum reach $10,000❓

A move to $10,000 would require the ETH price to rise well above its current level of around $2,740. CryptoPatel’s roadmap places $10,000 within the projected path toward a potential $16,000 cycle top.

Are Ethereum ETFs still seeing inflows❓

U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $118 million in net outflows for the week ending October 2, after recording $689.8 million in inflows during the previous week. This gives the ETH price an important institutional-demand factor to watch.
