Four months ago, crypto researcher SMQKE (@SMQKEDQG) posted a detailed breakdown of how XRP could connect to X Money through Fireblocks. However, the dynamics have shifted, as Ripple has announced a direct partnership with Cross River Bank. SMQKE returned to mark the moment.
Ripple and Cross River Bank are working together to “integrate RLUSD on the XRP Ledger into its core banking platform, providing 24/7 settlement within payment networks and greater flexibility to settle intraday.” Intriguingly, X Money has chosen Cross River Bank as its banking infrastructure provider. SMQKE argues these links create a pathway for XRP into X Money.
The New Partnership
Cross River Bank’s announcement detailed the integration. It expands the bank’s on-chain capabilities, letting fintechs access RLUSD payments through a single API connection for real-time settlement and cross-border transactions.
Markus Infanger, SVP of RippleX, stated, “Stablecoins won’t transform payments through parallel financial systems. They’ll do it by becoming part of the banking infrastructure businesses already use.” He said Cross River Bank is at the forefront of that push by bringing RLUSD and the XRP Ledger’s low-cost settlement into its regulated banking platform.
The X Money Angle
Cross River’s role in X Money is substantial. The bank provides peer-to-peer payment infrastructure, FDIC-insured interest-bearing accounts, and Visa debit card services. X Money entered limited beta in May 2025. It expanded to external testing in March 2026, and reports an early access version in June.
XRP supporters have long pressed Elon Musk to integrate XRP into X Money. No official announcement has confirmed that. What SMQKE identifies is the infrastructure architecture that could make it possible without requiring a new agreement. This new partnership deepens the potential for integration. The rails to connect XRP and Musk’s X Money platform are now clearer.
Documentation as a Strategy
SMQKE’s post is notable not just for the prediction but for the method. He argues that reading institutional publications carefully and tracking partnership documentation puts informed observers ahead of official announcements. “The crowd will always lag behind as they are waiting for official confirmations,” he wrote.
That approach produced a four-month lead on the Cross River and X Money partnership. Whether the XRP prediction follows the same pattern remains to be seen.
Where Things Stand
No official announcement confirms XRP integration into X Money. What exists is a documented chain of institutional relationships, and a direct partnership linking XRP and Cross River Bank. SMQKE calls it “the exact path XRP will take to connect with X Money.” The documentation supports the infrastructure argument. The community now awaits the confirmation.
