Robinhood Chain has reported a notable surge in tokenized stock activity less than two weeks after launching, with real-world assets on the network rising to approximately $70 million. The blockchain, introduced by trading platform Robinhood to support decentralized finance, is drawing larger transactions, even as speculative tokens and stablecoins dominate overall decentralized exchange volumes.

Real-world assets on the rise

Data from DefiLlama revealed that the value of tokenized real-world assets on Robinhood Chain climbed fivefold to $70 million, up from the low tens of millions shortly after the network went live. Initially, these assets contributed just 4% of on-chain activity, with the majority of activity involving memecoins and stablecoins.

Trading in tokenized equities has also gathered momentum. Daily trading volume in tokenized GameStop shares reached $26.6 million, while tokenized Nvidia and SpaceX stocks saw volumes of $14 million and $6.4 million, respectively. Currently, twelve tokenized stocks register over $500,000 in daily trading activity, with five exceeding the $1 million mark.

Data shows that tokenized equities now contribute significantly to trading levels on Robinhood Chain, although memecoins and stablecoins remain the leading asset categories in terms of volume.

Total value locked (TVL) on the network has reached around $312 million, tripling since mid-July. Decentralized exchange trading activity is also robust, with daily volumes exceeding $600 million. Token Terminal tracked more than 138 million transactions on the network over the past 30 days.

Despite this growth, DEX Screener listed speculative tokens such as Hoodrat, Vladhood, and Swole Doge above tokenized equities when measured by trading volume, underscoring the popularity of memecoins on the network.

Infrastructure projects draw new investment

As activity rises, infrastructure developers are moving quickly to tap into Robinhood Chain’s expanding user base. Memecoin.Fun, a startup focused on supporting memecoin projects, completed a strategic funding round of $3.5 million led by Becker Ventures. Other investors included BitValue Capital, Mason Labs, Negentropy Capital, and angel investor Billy Wen. The transaction involved the USDG token, but the company did not disclose its overall valuation or the specific structure of the deal.

Memecoin.Fun plans to use the new funding to build a Robinhood Chain platform for launching new tokens, develop cross-chain bridge technology, and pursue research for a multichain ecosystem centered on memecoins. The startup has yet to provide target launch dates for these new products.

Competition within the network is intensifying as Pons prepares for its version 2 upgrade. This update is set to feature an Ether-based bonding curve, Uniswap V4 integration, ETH-based creator payments, and new trading pairs related to tokenized real-world assets.

Network growth and user activity

Earlier network statistics indicated Robinhood Chain had locked almost $400 million worth of stablecoins and reached a total value locked of $431 million within three weeks of its debut. FalconX, an institutional crypto brokerage, reported that the network processes approximately 6 million transactions daily, serving over 250,000 active users each day.

Research from Artemis supported by FalconX measured nearly $9 billion in decentralized exchange volume on the platform, with some performance metrics surpassing Coinbase’s Base chain. Nonetheless, activity in memecoins continues to account for over 80% of DeFi trading on Robinhood Chain, suggesting that speculative trading still dominates network engagement.
