UNHCR, a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for people forced to flee their homes because of conflict and persecution, has partnered with the Cardano Foundation, among other non-profit companies, to launch a new non-fungible token collection. The NFT collection is created to aid refugees, empower young artists, and fund sustainable art initiatives.

In a November 24 blog post, the Cordano Foundation, a non-profit Swiss foundation focused on empowering the Cardano ecosystem through providing blockchain network solutions for digital enterprises, confirmed partnering with UNHCR and other parties to launch a new non-fungible token collection duped ‘Cardano Summit 2024.’ The new NFT collection is live for minting in NMKR until December 04, 2024.

The Cordano Foundation has joined hands with Project Catalyst, the largest, most accessible and impactful innovation fund funded to build on Cardano; Cardano Summit, a prestigious annual event offering early-stage Cardano startups the opportunity to pitch directly to industry experts and investors and Goodwall, an app that aims to provide young people with ample opportunities to develop their skills and access educational and work-related opportunities.

The Cordano Foundation team has also partnered with NMKR, a leading non-fungible token infrastructure provider on the Cardano blockchain, renowned for offering a suite of tools that enable brands, companies, and enterprises to create and launch custom NFT projects easily. NMKR provides development APIs that can be combined in a modular way to integrate NFT Minting and NFT Marketplace Trading functionalities on websites quickly and easily.

Cardano Summit 2024 NFT Collection Explained

The Cardano Summit 2024 NFT Collection features digital artworks from various young digital artists from African countries, including Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Burundi, Cameroon, Rwanda, and South Africa. It has two tiers: Official NFT and Special Collection. This edition will be released in parallel to the Cardano Summit in Dubai, with minting ending December 04, 2024.
