WEMIX Buyback Update : Progress of the First Phase

Greetings from the WEMIX Team.

As previously announced, the WEMIX Team has established and is sequentially implementing the following two-phase buyback plan to promptly mitigate the impact of the recent WEMIX PLAY Bridge asset incident and stabilize the WEMIX ecosystem.

First Phase of Buyback
• Purchase of WEMIX Coins worth KRW 10 billion in the market to recover losses incurred from the asset theft.

Second Phase of Buyback
• An additional market purchase of 20 million WEMIX Coins, not only to compensate for the stolen amount but also to ensure the rapid stabilization of the ecosystem.

In accordance with this plan, the first buyback has been underway through exchanges located in Korea since March 14, 2025. To further enhance the effectiveness of the buyback and accelerate ecosystem stabilization, the scope was expanded to include global exchanges as of April 10, 2025.

[Progress of the First Phase of the Buyback]
As of April 18, 2025, a total of 8,654,860 WEMIX Coins, equivalent to the stolen amount, has been repurchased.

Please note that the first buyback is being executed based on a total value of KRW 10 billion (KRW 8.75 billion for recovery of damages + an additional KRW 1.25 billion), rather than a specific quantity. Therefore, the buyback will continue until the entire allocated amount has been utilized.

While we originally planned to share the details upon completion of the buyback, we are providing this interim update in response to the community’s strong interest and to inform you that an amount equivalent to the stolen assets has already been repurchased.

We will share the final results including the wallet address upon completion of the first buyback. Subsequently, we will proceed with the second phase, buying back 20 million WEMIX Coins, and will notify the community once it has been completed.

The WEMIX Team remains committed to the swift and stable recovery of the ecosystem through transparent and effective buyback execution.
