Bitcoin shows 1.73% kimchi premium in Korean market on May 8.

As of 12:00 AM KST on May 8, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 118.05 million KRW on South Korea’s Upbit exchange, down 1.13% from the previous day. On global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 116.04 million KRW, reflecting a price gap of 2.01 million KRW and a kimchi premium of 1.73%.

Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, recorded a kimchi premium of 1.77%. Other major altcoins also showed strong premiums: Solana (SOL) at 1.52%, XRP (XRP) at 1.77%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 1.24%, and Sui (SUI) at 1.47%. Most top altcoins are currently trading with a premium in the 1.2% to 1.7% range.
