Bitget Brings Regulated Securities On-Chain

@Bitget has officially launched Reality (@RealityFi_xyz), a regulated real-world asset (RWA) issuance platform designed to bring 1:1-backed Nasdaq and NYSE securities onto the blockchain. The platform marks a significant step in the exchange's broader push to connect traditional capital markets with decentralised finance.

At the core of the infrastructure is a minting and redemption mechanism that operates 24 hours a day, five days a week. Users can mint and redeem $rTokens, which are fully collateralized through FINRA-registered brokers and independently verified by TheNetwork Firm. FINRA, the largest independent regulator for securities firms in the United States, oversees more than 3,250 brokerage firms and 625,000 registered securities representatives, providing a robust compliance framework for the underlying custody arrangements.

The $rTokens themselves are designed with DeFi composability in mind. They feature transparent pricing, stablecoin-denominated dividends, and full permissionless composability, allowing them to be used as collateral across the global DeFi ecosystem without the friction typically associated with regulated securities.

CEO Gracy Chen Highlights Exchange Connectivity

@GracyBitget, CEO of Bitget, said that Reality is deeply connected with major exchanges, including Nasdaq and the NYSE. The comment underscores Bitget's stated ambition to act as a bridge between traditional finance and on-chain markets, a theme the exchange has pursued across several product launches.

The launch of Reality positions Bitget within a growing field of platforms attempting to bring regulated, real-world financial instruments on-chain. The platform's reliance on FINRA-registered brokers and independent verification is intended to address the compliance gap that has historically limited institutional participation in DeFi.
