The cryptocurrency market recorded widespread losses on April 12, with most major digital assets trading lower.
According to CoinMarketCap, as of 11:30 AM KST, Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1.59% to $71,823.47, while Ethereum (ETH) dropped 1.01% to $2,225.51. XRP (XRP) declined 1.46% to $1.33. Dogecoin (DOGE) slid 2.30% to $0.09153, Solana (SOL) fell 2.45% to $82.69, and Avalanche (AVAX) decreased 2.27% to $9.13. Shiba Inu (SHIB) dropped 1.86% to $0.055835, World Liberty Financial (WLFI) declined 3.39% to $0.07829, and Pepe (PEPE) fell 2.53% to $0.053516.
Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, Toncoin (TON) posted the largest 24-hour gain, rising 9.03%, while Midnight (NIGHT) recorded the steepest decline with a 4.48% drop.
Other notable altcoins included Obol (OBOL), which rose 0.92% to $0.01243, and Aleo (ALEO), which surged 6.95% to $0.04813.
Several new cryptocurrencies were listed on CoinMarketCap within the past 24 hours, including SPIKE ($SPIKE), PDD Holdings ($PDD), and MOONKIN ($MOONKIN).
