The cryptocurrency market recorded broad losses on May 16, with most major digital assets trading lower.

According to CoinMarketCap, as of 11:00 AM KST on May 16, Bitcoin (BTC) fell 2.24% to $79,073.13, while Ethereum (ETH) declined 1.64% to $2,226.29. XRP (XRP) dropped 2.85% to $1.43, and TRON (TRX) slipped 0.40% to $0.3513. Solana (SOL) decreased 2.88% to $89.05, while Dogecoin (DOGE) lost 2.74% to $0.1123. Avalanche (AVAX) fell 3.13% to $9.53, Bittensor (TAO) plunged 7.42% to $281.66, World Liberty Financial (WLFI) dropped 5.85% to $0.06547, and Worldcoin (WLD) declined 4.75% to $0.2466.

Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, Chiliz (CHZ) posted the largest 24-hour gain, rising 5.03%, while Humanity (H) recorded the steepest decline with a 15.01% drop.

Other notable altcoins included Quai Network (QUAI), which fell 2.79% to $0.02778, and Aleo (ALEO), which declined 2.39% to $0.04766.

New cryptocurrencies listed on CoinMarketCap within the past 24 hours included Hooli (HOOLI), Citrea (CTR), and Virl.fun (VIRL).
