Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse appeared in a new video on X to outline the company’s plans for its flagship Swell conference. Speaking against the backdrop of New York City, he said that the city would host the annual conference.

Garlinghouse highlighted the city’s stature “from Wall Street to One World Trade” and called it “the largest financial hub in the world.” The announcement sets the stage for Ripple’s biggest annual event, designed to convene leaders in fintech, crypto, and economic policy.

According to Ripple, the upcoming conference marks the ninth edition of Swell and its return to an in-person format in New York this November. The event will take place over two days and include a series of keynotes, panels, and networking sessions.

Speakers and Key Sessions

The conference will feature senior executives and policymakers from across the financial ecosystem. Ripple’s leadership team, including Garlinghouse, Executive Chairman Chris Larsen, President Monica Long, and Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty, will join a roster of global figures.

Among the confirmed speakers are Adena Friedman, Chair and CEO of Nasdaq, Carolyn Weinberg of BNY, and Sandy Kaul of Franklin Templeton. Executives from Fidelity, BlackRock, CME Group, and Citi are also scheduled to present.

The agenda shows the conference’s focus on the growing role of blockchain technology in financial markets. The first full day, November 4, will open with remarks followed by Friedman’s keynote fireside chat. Later sessions will explore “The Impact of Tokenized Financial Assets on Capital Markets” and “Stablecoins and Blockchain: Revolutionizing Cross-Border Payments.”

Ripple will also showcase a new product demo that day, potentially drawing attention to XRP’s capabilities and the advantages of the XRP Ledger (XRPL), highlighting its role in advancing digital asset adoption.

The Focus On Policy and Regulation

The conference also dedicates significant time to regulatory issues, a subject critical to XRP holders. Sessions will bring together policymakers and institutional leaders to discuss frameworks for digital assets, with a panel on “International Regulatory Perspectives on Digital Assets” scheduled for the first day.

On November 5, another panel will address “U.S. Regulatory Leadership in Crypto — Global Comparisons and 2025 Priorities.” This will highlight the benefits of the Trump administration’s pro-crypto stance and promote broader discussions about how governments may shape the sector in the coming years.

Ripple’s Commitment to Growth

Swell has consistently been a platform for Ripple to outline its priorities, and this year’s location and lineup reflect its focus on scaling adoption and strengthening partnerships. For the XRP community, the event offers a clear signal of Ripple’s direction, as the company continues to integrate XRP into the global financial system.
